Our RE provision aims to engage pupils in an exploration of the ‘big’ questions about life, to find out what people believe and what difference this makes to how they live, so that pupils can make sense of religion, reflecting on their own ideas and ways of living.
In KS1 pupils develop their knowledge of religions and world views, use basic subject specific vocabulary, raise questions and begin to express their own views.
In KS2 pupils extend their knowledge of religions and world views, using different sources and subject specific vocabulary. They are encouraged to be curious and ask increasingly challenging questions. Pupils should learn how to express their own views using reasons.
