Back down to Earth, let’s take a walk outdoors. But what should we wear? Wellingtons? A sun hat? Maybe a warm coat? But how do we know what the weather will be like today?

Over this half term we will be learning the story of Jack and the beanstalk. We will be learning about using different adjectives to describe and how to ask questions.
We are also looking at ‘non-fiction’. Beginning to understand what this means.
We will be learning about instructions and will be beginning to write our own.
We will continue to have discrete phonics lessons at other points in the day to allow the children to continue to learn new sounds needed for their reading and writing.
After these phonics sessions your child may bring home spellings to learn, please support your child to practise reading and spelling these words.

We will deepen our understanding through problem solving and challenges such as missing number problems e.g 10 = __ + 4.
We will continue to look at recognising different coins and will continue to practise counting in groups of 2, 5 and 10.
