Our English curriculum links in with our topic this term.
Our fiction focus is Rose Blanche: a picture book set during World War 2. The children will compete a number of activities, based on this text, to help improve their writing and spelling, punctuation and grammar skills. Once they have become familiar with the text, the children will use the story of Rose Blanch as inspiration to write our very own 'tragedy' story.
Our non-fiction focus will be on biographies. Throughout their English lessons, the children will analyse a number of different biographies (such as Hitler's) and eventually write their own, about Anne Frank.
